There’s also plenty of Buddhist temples and sites to appreciate, like the Wat Xieng Thong and Pha That Luang. Vietnam offers plenty of weird and wonderful things to try if you’re travelling around Asia for 3 months. The best thing about Vietnam is the majority of cities can be explored by riding a scooter and embracing the glorious countryside. Ho Chi Minh City (previously known as Saigon) is a historical city featuring many museums; in particular the War Remnants Museum is popular with tourists.
The city is full of lively evenings and entertainment to enjoy, and you can even go and venture off to Mui Ne and go sand boarding on the dunes. There’s also plenty of tropical beaches to visit such as the widely recommended white beaches of Nha Trang, where you can relax in one of the most tranquil places imaginable or take part in their watersport activities - including snorkelling in their magnificent coral reefs.
